Studio One Hotel
The proposed 140 room, Studio City Hotel is designed as a boutique establishment in the burgeoning Studio City district of Dubai. The objective is to create an enhanced environment that encourages activity and interaction amongst the various components in the project and within it’s vicinity. The Hotel public areas are designed with an emphasis on transparency and accessibility; to be able to function independently and to promote their use not only by Hotel Guests but by surrounding businesses and neighborhood communities as well.
The building massing is a juxtaposition of solids, glass and voids, providing depth and visual interests. Building elements are arranged in an L-shape configuration around a central landscaped Courtyard. The west wing rises continuously from ground to the 9th floor, while the east wing is interrupted on level 3 with an outdoor terrace, above which hovers the 3 additional floors of hotel rooms.
